Iran Warns Attack on Lebanon Would Violate Ceasefire Agreement
Iran: Attack on Lebanon Violates Ceasefire Deal

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi stated on Tuesday that the war has officially ended across all fronts, and any Israeli attack on Lebanon would constitute a violation of the agreement reached between Iran and the United States. The remarks were reported by ISNA News Agency.

Iran's Warning and Military Posture

Araghchi emphasized that since yesterday morning, the cessation of hostilities is in effect, and any aggression towards Lebanon breaches the terms of the accord. Meanwhile, Major General Amir Hatami, Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army, issued a stern warning to adversaries. He cautioned that if the enemy makes any mistake, they will face the pent-up fury of Iran, making their task extremely difficult. Hatami dismissed enemy claims of military victory as lies, highlighting that the navy is robustly defending 600 kilometers of the Sea of Oman coastline. He also noted that attempts to open the Strait of Hormuz were thwarted, with enemy forces targeted by cruise missiles and drones.

Upcoming Negotiations

Araghchi announced that negotiations will commence on Saturday following the signing of a memorandum of understanding. These talks are scheduled to continue for 60 days, aiming to reach a final agreement covering nuclear issues and the lifting of sanctions. The official implementation of the memorandum begins on Saturday, while the war officially ended on Monday. The Iranian delegation will be led by Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and the US delegation by Vice President JD Vance, as confirmed by ISNA.
