Amul Hikes Milk Prices by Rs 2-6 Per Litre in Lucknow

Lucknow: Dairy giant Amul has raised retail milk prices across several variants in the city. While the company has not made an official announcement, multiple retail milk parlours confirmed that the new rates came into effect on Thursday.

Revised Prices for Full Cream Milk

According to retailers, the price of full cream milk has increased by Rs 6 for a 2-litre pack, now costing Rs 142 compared to the earlier Rs 136. The 1-litre pack has been raised to Rs 72 from Rs 69, and the half-litre pack now sells for Rs 36, up from Rs 35.

Toned Milk Also Costlier

Toned milk has also become more expensive. The 1-litre pack is now priced at Rs 59, up from Rs 57, while the half-litre pack has increased to Rs 30 from Rs 29.

This price revision comes as a burden on consumers already grappling with rising inflation. The hike ranges from Rs 1 to Rs 6 per pack, depending on the variant and quantity.
