TATA Starbucks has unveiled a completely reimagined version of its Starbucks Rewards program, introducing a new Reserve tier alongside the existing Green and Gold levels. The overhauled program is designed to deliver greater value through faster star accumulation, easier reward redemption, and a wider array of benefits and experiences as members advance through the tiers.
New Three-Tier Structure
The updated loyalty program now comprises three distinct tiers:
- Green: The entry-level tier where members earn Starbucks Rewards at an accelerated rate and can choose to redeem rewards of their preference.
- Gold: Customers automatically upgrade to Gold upon accumulating 1,000 Stars within a year of joining.
- Reserve: The top tier comes with a sleek, black personalized card bearing the customer's name and the year they first joined the program. Members qualify for Reserve by earning 5,000 or more Stars within a year.
Key Benefits and Enhancements
The revamped program introduces several customer-friendly features:
- Faster Earning: Members earn 1 Star for every Rs.10 spent. Gold members earn 1.2X Stars, and Reserve members earn 1.3X Stars on the same spend.
- More Accessible Rewards: Lower redemption thresholds allow members to unlock rewards and enjoy benefits sooner.
- Benefits at Every Level: Personalized offers, birthday rewards, milestone celebrations, Double Stars Days, and member-exclusive offers are available across all tiers.
- Enhanced Member Experiences: Higher-tier members unlock additional perks such as Free Customized Mondays (one free modifier on any handcrafted drink), accelerated Star earnings, exclusive merchandise, curated coffee experiences, special event access, and other member-only privileges.

Program Availability
Customers can start enjoying the new rewards by downloading the Starbucks India mobile application. TATA Starbucks Private Limited, a 50/50 joint venture between Starbucks and Tata Consumer Products Limited, entered the Indian market in October 2012. The company now operates more than 506 stores across 81 cities in India, including major metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Chennai, as well as tier-2 and tier-3 cities such as Ajmer, Alibaug, Guntur, and Vapi. The stores are staffed by over 4,305 partners (employees) and operate under the brand name Starbucks Coffee - A TATA Alliance.
