TTD gets Rs 1.2 cr donation from Hyderabad industrialist

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) received a substantial donation of Rs 1.2 crore from Hyderabad-based industrialist B.V.V.S.N. Raju, owner of Max Infra Private Limited, on Sunday. The donation was made in the form of demand drafts handed over to TTD Additional Executive Officer S. Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary at the Ranganayakula Mandapam within the Srivari Temple premises.

Breakdown of the Donation

Out of the total amount, Rs 44 lakh was allocated for sponsoring one day of Annaprasadam distribution at the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex. The remaining Rs 76 lakh was contributed to the Sri Venkateswara Annaprasadam Trust, which manages the free food distribution program for pilgrims visiting the temple.

Fuel Situation in Tirumala

Meanwhile, the TTD has clarified that there is no fuel shortage in Tirumala, contrary to concerns raised by some devotees. On Sunday afternoon, petrol was temporarily exhausted at the HP and IOCL petrol bunks in Tirumala, leading to the display of 'No Stock' boards at those outlets. However, by evening, a tanker arrived at the HP petrol bunk, restoring fuel availability. The TTD also informed that a tanker is expected to reach the IOCL petrol bunk by Monday morning to replenish supplies.
