VenueInDelhi, a pioneering online wedding venue discovery and booking platform, has completed 10 years of operation and crossed 10,000 wedding bookings across Delhi NCR. Since its launch in 2013, the platform has become a key resource for families seeking venues for weddings, engagements, and receptions.
Platform Growth and Milestones
Currently, VenueInDelhi lists over 1,400 properties across Delhi NCR and 14 other Indian cities, including banquet halls, marriage halls, luxury hotels, farmhouses, resorts, and destination wedding venues. In the last financial year, the platform handled nearly 26,000 venue enquiries and facilitated business worth approximately ₹140 crore for its partner venues.
Founder Mr. Gagandeep Singh recalled the early days: "I launched this venue discovery platform in 2013. In 2013, families still relied on relatives and roadside hoardings to find a banquet hall. My first office was a single room, and I'd personally walk clients through venues in Chhatarpur because they simply didn't trust photos on a website."
Technology and Customer Behavior Shifts
The platform simplifies venue selection by presenting options based on location, budget, guest count, catering style, and parking, along with free advice from wedding advisors. Over the past decade, customer behavior has changed significantly. Couples now arrive with Pinterest boards and precise budgets, inquiring about decor flexibility, vegetarian-only kitchens, valet capacity, and guest accommodation. Bookings that once took weeks now close in days.
Mr. Singh emphasized the importance of transparency: "Ten years later, it's the opposite problem. Customers now expect a digital shortlist before they ever visit a property in person. Our main job is to ensure absolute honesty. What people see on our platform must match the physical reality perfectly. We provide verified venue pricing, real gallery photos, and honest capacity numbers. That is our entire business model."
2026 Expansion Plans
To mark its anniversary, VenueInDelhi announced a two-phase expansion plan for 2026. The first half will introduce instant availability checks and virtual venue tours. By December, a partner rewards programme will launch, and the platform will expand to 10 new cities.
Mr. Singh added: "This industry still has plenty of broken pieces, and pricing is the biggest one. Nobody publishes real rates. If a family can see three comparable venues with real rates side by side, half the stress of wedding planning disappears. That's what the next ten years are about for us."
Coverage and Industry Impact
Delhi's traditional wedding belts—Chhatarpur, Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, Rohini, Pitampura, and South Delhi—have the deepest coverage, while Gurugram, Noida, and Ghaziabad are rapidly developing. Outside NCR, the platform features venues in Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and destination wedding properties in Udaipur and Goa. India's wedding market, estimated at over ₹10 lakh crore annually, benefits from such platforms that provide a steady flow of verified enquiries to venue owners, with partner venues reporting nearly half their annual bookings coming online.
