Youth Congress leader Nikhil Ruparel, President of the North Central District Youth Congress, celebrated his birthday on Friday by organizing a food distribution programme for visually impaired students at The N.S.D. Industrial Home for the Blind in Worli, Mumbai. The initiative aimed to transform personal celebration into community service, focusing on inclusivity and social responsibility.

The event was graced by renowned actress Siddhi Idnani as the Special Guest. Zeenat Shabrin, President of Mumbai Pradesh Youth Congress, attended as the Guest of Honour. Preeti Choksi, Mumbai GS Mahila Congress and sister of Nikhil Ruparel, was also present at the venue, underscoring the family and political support for the cause.
Digital Creators Join the Cause
Prominent Mumbai-based digital creators participated in the drive. Anjuri Sinha, a nationally recognized award-winning influencer felicitated by Navbharat Times and Loksatta, interacted with the students. Sinha is known for inspiring millions through her fashion, beauty, fitness, and luxury lifestyle content. Krithi Kuttathil, a multi-award-winning luxury lifestyle creator who has collaborated with over 500 premium brands, also took part and distributed meals to the students.
Volunteer Efforts and Impact
Volunteers served food to all students of the institution and spent time engaging with them. The initiative was designed to make Ruparel's birthday a day of giving back to society, with a specific focus on the visually impaired community.
