Ace Designers opens Rs 50 crore plant in Ahmedabad

Ace Designers Limited, the flagship company of the Ace Micromatic Group, has inaugurated a new assembly facility in Ahmedabad with an investment of Rs 50 crore. The Ace Micromatic Group is a consortium of Indian firms specializing in the manufacturing, marketing, and servicing of precision metalworking machine tools.

Production Capacity and Localization

The new facility is designed to achieve an annual production capacity of approximately 3,000 turning machines and 1,000 machining centres over the next five years. The company stated that the plant will focus on localization by developing regional vendors and building a skilled workforce.

Management Insights

T K Ramesh, Managing Director of Ace Designers, said the Gujarat plant will help the company stay closer to industrial hubs and customers, enabling faster response times. Joint Managing Director Bill Shukla added that the unit was built as a next-generation manufacturing facility using advanced processes and digital technologies.

Financial Outlook and Global Reach

Ace Designers expects its annual turnover to exceed Rs 2,800 crore in FY26. The company currently has the capacity to manufacture 8,000 turning centres and 3,400 machining centres annually, with exports spanning Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.
