This software vulnerability affects approximately 6,000 A320-family aircraft globally, though not all planes require immediate grounding. The issue specifically involves solar radiation interfering with flight control systems, potentially compromising aircraft safety during operation.

In response to the Airbus directive, Indian aviation authorities have taken decisive action by grounding over 350 A320 aircraft operated by IndiGo and the Air India group.
