Bengaluru Metro's Yellow Line Gets Major Boost: 15-Minute Rush Hour Frequency From November 1
Bengaluru Metro: 15-min Rush Hour Frequency from Nov 1

Great news for Bengaluru's daily commuters! Namma Metro is set to revolutionize your travel experience with a significant service enhancement on the Yellow Line starting November 1.

Faster Commutes During Peak Hours

Beginning next month, passengers traveling on the Yellow Line connecting RV Road to Bommasandra will enjoy much-improved service frequency. During morning and evening rush hours, trains will now arrive every 15 minutes instead of the current 20-minute intervals.

Enhanced Service Schedule

The improved frequency will be available during peak travel times:

  • Morning Rush: 8 AM to 11 AM
  • Evening Rush: 5 PM to 8 PM

Outside these peak hours, the service will maintain its regular 20-minute frequency, ensuring consistent connectivity throughout the day.

What This Means for Commuters

This upgrade translates to:

  • Reduced waiting time at stations
  • Less crowded trains during peak hours
  • More efficient daily commutes for thousands of passengers
  • Better work-life balance with shorter travel times

A Step Toward Better Urban Mobility

This service enhancement represents Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited's (BMRCL) ongoing commitment to improving urban transportation in India's tech capital. The increased frequency aims to make metro travel more attractive and convenient, potentially encouraging more residents to choose public transport over private vehicles.

The Yellow Line, which serves crucial IT corridors and residential areas, has become increasingly popular since its expansion. This frequency boost comes as welcome relief for the growing number of metro users in Bengaluru.
