Goa Fuel Supply Stable, 10,600+ LPG Cylinders Daily

Goa's Fuel Supply Remains Robust Amid High Demand

In a reassuring statement issued on Saturday, Madhurendra Pandey, the state-level coordinator for public sector oil marketing companies (OMCs), affirmed that Goa is experiencing no shortages in essential fuels. According to Pandey, the availability of petrol, diesel, and LPG gas across the state is fully sufficient to meet current consumption levels, with supply chains operating without interruption as reported by the OMCs in Goa.

Domestic LPG Distribution Prioritized and On Schedule

Madhurendra Pandey emphasized that public sector oil companies have placed a high priority on the distribution of domestic LPG cylinders. Deliveries are proceeding according to schedule, with an impressive daily average of over 10,600 cylinders being supplied throughout Goa. "This volume aligns perfectly with the pre-war requirements, ensuring that households have consistent access to cooking fuel," Pandey stated.

To enhance delivery efficiency and customer convenience, Pandey encouraged consumers to utilize modern booking methods. These include:

  • Interactive voice response (IVRS) platforms

He further advised residents to employ the delivery authentication code during cylinder receipt to guarantee smoother and more secure transactions.

Alternative Fuel Options and Support for Migrant Workers

Pandey highlighted ongoing initiatives by both the central and state governments to promote piped natural gas as an alternative cooking solution. This cleaner fuel option is currently accessible in key Goan locations such as Panaji, Margao, and Ponda.

Addressing the needs of migrant workers, Pandey clarified that those lacking local address documentation can still obtain 5kg free trade LPG cylinders through authorized distributors. The only requirement is the submission of a valid government-issued photo identity card, ensuring that no community faces exclusion from essential services.

Strict Enforcement Against Hoarding and Black Marketing

The state government and district administration have implemented rigorous enforcement drives to combat hoarding and black marketing activities. To date, district authorities have conducted more than 305 raids across Goa, taking decisive action wherever irregularities were detected.

Pandey concluded with a crucial advisory to the public: "Citizens should disregard unfounded rumors about fuel shortages and refrain from panic buying. The supply situation is stable, and authorities are vigilantly monitoring the market to prevent any disruptions."
