Deputy Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Mukesh Agnihotri, inaugurated the Integrated Rural Development Project under a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative in Haroli on Wednesday. During the event, he confirmed that the Bulk Drug Park project in the state is on track and progressing as per schedule.
Project Details and Inauguration
The Integrated Rural Development Project aims to boost infrastructure and livelihood opportunities in rural areas of Haroli. Speaking at the launch, Agnihotri highlighted the government's commitment to holistic rural development through public-private partnerships. He noted that the CSR initiative would focus on healthcare, education, and skill development in the region.
The Bulk Drug Park, a major pharmaceutical project, is expected to generate employment and reduce dependency on imported drug ingredients. Agnihotri stated that land acquisition and other formalities are proceeding smoothly, with the project timeline being strictly followed.
Government's Rural Focus
According to the Deputy CM, the state government has allocated significant funds for rural infrastructure in the current budget. He emphasized that projects like these are crucial for bridging the urban-rural divide. The Bulk Drug Park, in particular, is seen as a strategic move to boost the pharmaceutical sector in Himachal Pradesh.
Local officials and community representatives were present at the inauguration. Agnihotri also interacted with beneficiaries and reviewed ongoing development works in the area.
