Hyundai India Car Prices to Rise Up to 1% from May 2026

Hyundai India Announces Price Increase for Vehicle Lineup

Hyundai Motor India has officially declared that it will implement a price hike across its car models, effective from May 1, 2026. The increase is set to be up to 1 per cent, with the exact amount varying based on the specific model and variant. This announcement was made through a regulatory filing, though the company has not disclosed detailed figures for each vehicle.

Second Price Adjustment of 2026

This move represents Hyundai's second price revision in 2026, following a previous increase of 0.6 per cent that took effect in January. Additionally, the prices for the new-generation Venue model were raised by up to Rs 20,000 in March after its introductory pricing period ended. It remains uncertain whether the upcoming May 2026 adjustment will apply to the Venue as well.

Driven by Rising Input Costs

The company attributed the decision to higher input costs, stating that a portion of these increased expenses is being passed on to consumers through a limited price adjustment. Hyundai emphasized that this step is necessary to maintain product quality and sustainability in a challenging economic environment.

Impact on Pricing Across Models

Hyundai's current model range spans from the entry-level Grand i10 Nios, priced at Rs 5.55 lakh, to the premium all-electric Ioniq 5, which costs Rs 46.30 lakh. A 1 per cent price hike would result in increases ranging from approximately Rs 5,550 to Rs 46,300 across the lineup, depending on the model and variant specifications.
