India's Expanding Garment and Apparel Manufacturing Ecosystem to Converge at Gartex Texprocess India Mumbai
India's dynamic textile and apparel industry, a cornerstone of the national economy, is set to showcase its growth and innovation at the upcoming Gartex Texprocess India Mumbai event. This significant trade fair, which incorporates the Denim Show, will assemble the entire apparel and garment manufacturing value chain from 9 to 11 April 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.
A Platform for Industry Collaboration and Innovation
The exhibition serves as a critical hub for machinery manufacturers, technology providers, fabric suppliers, textile printers, and accessories suppliers. It aims to foster connections, explore cutting-edge innovations, and strengthen business collaborations across the textile and garment manufacturing ecosystem. With India's textile and apparel sector valued at nearly USD 179 billion, contributing approximately 2% to the GDP, 11% to manufacturing GVA, and over 8% to exports, this event highlights the industry's immense scale and potential. The sector supports the livelihoods of 45 million people across the value chain, underscoring its socio-economic importance.
India's textile legacy is rich and diverse, being the largest cultivator of cotton and a major producer of jute and silk. The country has also set a precedent in manufacturing man-made textiles, reflecting the versatility and growth prospects of its textile ecosystem.

Amidst this evolving industry backdrop, Gartex Texprocess India Mumbai will feature participation from more than 125 companies, presenting solutions across apparel and garment manufacturing technologies, denim production, fabrics, trims, accessories, and textile printing. The event will attract companies from key textile technology markets, including Italy, Germany, China, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, showcasing its global appeal.
Visitors can expect access to over 500 products and 300 brands, with several new participants making their debut. The fair will also witness new product launches, emphasizing the latest advancements in the field.
