Japanese company builds special needs hall at Rewari govt school

India-Japan Lighting Pvt Ltd has donated a hall designed for children with special needs (CWSN) to the PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School in Bawal, Rewari district. The facility was inaugurated on Friday by T Nagata San, the company's director, who received a warm welcome from Bawal SDM Sanjeev Kumar.

CSR initiative supports inclusive education

The hall was constructed using the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. According to school principal Pradeep Kumar, this is the first facility of its kind in the state of Haryana and will serve 175 children with special needs from the Bawal block.

Present at the inauguration were the company's CFO Sandeep Gupta, Block Education Officer (BEO) Fateh Singh, School Management Committee (SMC) president Laxmi Devi, and former SMC president Anju Devi.

Previous contributions to school infrastructure

India-Japan Lighting had previously donated a tin-shed that can accommodate nearly 600 students for morning assembly and other activities. The event also featured cultural performances by students.
