KJS India's ₹651 Crore Unit Foundation Laid in Telangana

Hyderabad: Telangana IT and industries minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Friday laid the foundation stone for KJS India Private Ltd’s Unit 2 at Thogarpally village in Kondapur mandal of Sangareddy district. The new facility will be established with an investment of ₹651 crore on 44 acres of land. This project is expected to generate direct employment for 1,551 individuals and indirect job opportunities for approximately 5,000 more people.

Boosting Food Processing and FMCG Sectors

KJS India serves as a co-manufacturing and co-packing partner for major global brands, including Nestlé, Hindustan Unilever, Mayora, and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, among others. The upcoming unit is anticipated to significantly boost Telangana’s food processing and FMCG sectors. It will also strengthen the global footprint of the ‘Made in Telangana’ brand, reflecting the growing confidence that global and domestic companies have in the state, Sridhar Babu stated.

Economic Impact and Job Creation

The investment of ₹651 crore underscores the state’s commitment to industrial growth and employment generation. The direct employment of 1,551 people will span various skill levels, while the indirect jobs for around 5,000 more will benefit the local economy through ancillary services and supply chains. This project is a testament to Telangana’s favorable business environment and infrastructure.
