In a strategic move to capture a broader segment of the Indian motorcycle market, KTM has officially launched new 350cc versions of its popular KTM 390 Duke and KTM 390 Adventure models. This expansion is designed to make these high-performance motorcycles more accessible to a wider range of buyers by taking advantage of favorable tax regulations.
Pricing Strategy and Market Positioning
The newly introduced 350cc variants are priced at Rs 2,77,268 for the Duke and Rs 2,80,905 for the Adventure (both ex-showroom, Delhi). This represents a significant price reduction of approximately Rs 62,000 compared to their 399cc counterparts. The primary motivation behind this pricing strategy is to leverage the lower 18 percent GST bracket applicable to motorcycles with engine capacities below 350cc, thereby enhancing affordability and competitive positioning.
