According to preliminary information, employees attempted to contain the flames after noticing smoke emerging from the scrap yard. However, the presence of combustible materials caused the fire to spread rapidly.

Assessment of Damage

The exact extent of damage is yet to be assessed. Officials noted that the factory appeared to lack adequate first-response firefighting arrangements on the premises, which may have contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.
