MPIDC to Launch Industrial Plot Allotment in Indore Region from April

The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) is preparing to initiate the allotment of industrial plots across several newly developed areas in the Indore region, with the process scheduled to commence in April. This strategic move aims to bolster sectors such as confectionery, food processing, plastics, and various micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), enhancing the region's industrial landscape.

Expansion Plans and Infrastructure Development

Himanshu Prajapati, the executive director of MPIDC's Indore region, confirmed that the corporation is planning to start the allocation of land in new industrial areas from April. At least nine new industrial areas are being developed in the Indore region to attract diverse industries and investments. These areas are specifically tailored for sectors including food processing, confectionery, plastics, engineering, and other MSME segments.

Officials emphasized that this expansion is part of a broader initiative to strengthen industrial infrastructure in and around Indore, which has been experiencing robust demand from both MSMEs and large-scale manufacturers. The new industrial zones are being meticulously planned with essential infrastructure to ensure operational efficiency and ease of doing business. Key features include:

Major Industrial Projects in the Pipeline

The development includes several large-scale projects designed to accommodate extensive manufacturing activities. The most significant among these is the new industrial township, Sector 8 at Bardari in Indore district, which spans an impressive 451 hectares. Following this, a 275-hectare industrial cluster is being established at Khawasa in Seoni district, and a 256-hectare industrial area is planned at Tarapur in Neemuch district.

In addition to these, MPIDC intends to develop Sector 9 at Bhatkhedi in Indore district, covering approximately 208 hectares, specifically to cater to large-scale manufacturing units. These projects are expected to provide substantial opportunities for industrial growth and investment in the region.

Support for MSMEs and Ancillary Industries

Alongside the larger developments, MPIDC is also focusing on creating smaller industrial clusters to support MSMEs and ancillary industries. These include:

  1. Nimrani Phase 2, spanning 61 hectares
  2. Rayan, covering 35 hectares
  3. Bhavsinghpura, with 32 hectares
  4. Machal, extending over 23 hectares

Industry representatives have expressed optimism about these initiatives, noting that the availability of developed industrial land in planned clusters will facilitate the expansion of existing MSME operations. Moreover, it is anticipated to attract new investors to the Indore region, which remains a pivotal manufacturing hub in Madhya Pradesh.

The concerted efforts by MPIDC underscore a commitment to fostering industrial growth, enhancing economic development, and positioning Indore as a leading destination for business and investment in central India.
