MRPL Celebrates Major Milestone with Dispatch of 1,000th Petcoke Rake
In a significant achievement for India's energy and industrial sector, the Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has successfully loaded and dispatched its 1,000th petcoke rake from the MRPL MMRT railway siding. This milestone event, which took place on Tuesday, underscores the company's growing operational capabilities and strategic partnerships in the petrochemical industry.
Key Officials Flag Off Historic Rake to JSW Cement
The milestone rake was formally flagged off by BHV Prasad, Executive Director (Projects) at MRPL, and Deepak Prabhakar, Executive Director (Marketing). The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including Asha Shetty, Regional Railway Manager of Konkan Railway's Karwar division; Dileep D Bhat, Senior Regional Traffic Manager of Konkan Railway; and Vinanil Tiwari, Chief Procurement Officer of JSW Cement. This collaborative gathering highlighted the strong ties between MRPL, railway authorities, and its valued customer, JSW Cement.

During the event, Deepak Prabhakar provided insights into MRPL's operational progress, noting that the second batch of 500 rakes was achieved 40 per cent faster than the first batch. This remarkable improvement reflects the company's commitment to enhanced efficiency and operational excellence in its logistics and supply chain management. Prabhakar extended gratitude to customers, stakeholders, and partners for their unwavering support, which has been instrumental in reaching this milestone.
