MG Motor India has officially introduced the updated 2026 MG Hector facelift in the country, marking the SUV's second major refresh since its 2019 debut. The new model brings a host of cosmetic upgrades, enhanced features, and improved safety technology to the competitive mid-size SUV segment.

The 2026 MG Hector is now available with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 11.99 lakh for the base petrol variant. The company has also announced prices for the updated MG Hector Plus, which comes in both 6- and 7-seater configurations, starting from Rs 17.29 lakh. It is important to note that currently, only petrol variant prices have been revealed, with diesel model pricing expected to be announced later in 2026.
The SUV is offered in a total of five trim levels: Style, Select Pro, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro, and the top-spec Savvy Pro. Customers can choose from five monotone colour options, including two new shades – Celadon Blue and Pearl White – alongside the continuing Aurora Silver, Glaze Red, and Starry Black.

The entry-level Hector Style (Rs 11.99 lakh) is well-equipped with six airbags, ESP, hill-hold control, a 3.5-inch MID, and fabric upholstery. Stepping up to the Select Pro (Rs 13.99 lakh) adds a 14-inch touchscreen, panoramic sunroof, LED projector headlamps, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Smart Pro starts at Rs 14.99 lakh (MT) and introduces an 18-inch alloy wheel design, a dual-tone Ice Grey interior, connected car tech, and an 8-speaker sound system. The Sharp Pro variant, beginning at Rs 16.79 lakh, offers premium features like ventilated front seats, powered front seats, ambient lighting, and automatic climate control. The Hector Plus version in this trim adds captain seats for the second row and third-row AC vents.
Top Specs and Market Position
The range-topping Savvy Pro is priced at Rs 18.99 lakh for the Hector and Rs 19.49 lakh for the Hector Plus CVT. This variant packs the most advanced technology, including Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), a 360-degree camera, a powered tailgate, and a cabin air purifier.
With this update, the Hector continues to rival popular models like the Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV700, and Hyundai Alcazar.
