The Haryana Government has announced free travel on Haryana Roadways buses for candidates appearing in recruitment examinations conducted by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC).
Facility Details
The free travel facility will be available on the day of the examination for candidates taking written tests, skill assessments, Physical Measurement Tests (PMT), and Physical Screening Tests (PST). This initiative is part of the ongoing recruitment process for approximately 5,500 constable positions in the Haryana Police, for which the written examination is still pending.
Official Approval and Logistics
The proposal has been formally approved following directives from the Chief Secretary's office. An official order has been issued to the Transport Department, requiring advance arrangements for buses and logistics during exam schedules to ensure smooth movement of candidates. Authorities must share exam schedules in advance to allow adequate bus deployment across districts, particularly to assist candidates from remote areas in reaching examination centers without difficulty.
Candidates can travel free of charge by presenting their admit card and a valid identification document, ensuring that only genuine aspirants benefit from the facility.
Enhanced Transparency in PST
To improve transparency in the selection process, HSSC has introduced an electronic real-time live timing system for the Physical Screening Test. This system provides instant tracking of runners' times and laps, eliminating manual errors and allowing candidates to immediately view their exact running times and qualification status. The real-time display aims to ensure greater transparency and reduce disputes related to performance evaluation.
