Rajasthan Unveils Industrial Park Policy 2026 to Boost Infrastructure and Investment
Rajasthan Industrial Park Policy 2026 Aims to Accelerate Growth

Rajasthan Government Introduces Comprehensive Industrial Park Policy for 2026

The state government of Rajasthan has officially launched the Rajasthan Industrial Park Promotion Policy, 2026, a strategic initiative designed to significantly accelerate the development of industrial infrastructure across the region. This policy aims to deepen private sector participation in key areas such as logistics, sustainability, and enhancing the ease of doing business, positioning Rajasthan as a competitive hub for industrial growth.

Key Features and Objectives of the New Policy

The policy targets the creation of world-class industrial parks equipped with robust infrastructure, integrated supply chains, and plug-and-play facilities to attract diverse industries. It allows for development through multiple flexible models, including fully private ventures, public-private partnerships (PPP), and hybrid land arrangements involving the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO).

To qualify as an industrial park under this policy, a minimum area of 50 acres and at least 10 industrial units are mandated. This ensures that projects are substantial and capable of fostering economic clusters. The scope of industrial activity has been widened to include not only traditional manufacturing but also logistics, IT services, data centres, hospitality, and renewable energy, reflecting a modern and diversified approach to industrialisation.

Incentives and Support for Developers

Developers can avail themselves of significant financial incentives to encourage investment and infrastructure creation. Capital subsidies of up to Rs 40 crore are available, depending on the project size, to offset initial setup costs. In a strong push towards sustainability, green incentives include up to 50% reimbursement on common effluent treatment plants, capped at Rs 12.5 crore, highlighting the policy's focus on environmentally responsible industrial practices.

Additional benefits include exemptions on electricity duty for renewable energy use, partial relief on stamp duty and land conversion charges, and incentives linked to employment generation and investment scale. Developers can also benefit from subsidies on plug-and-play office spaces and common utility centres, which enhance project viability and reduce operational hurdles.

Industry Response and Integration with Digital Systems

Suresh Agarwal, president of the Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industry (FORTI), expressed support for the policy, stating, "The policy aligns with Rajasthan's push to attract investments in emerging sectors while improving industrial competitiveness." This endorsement underscores the policy's potential to drive economic growth and innovation in the state.

A key highlight of the policy is the integration of the RajNivesh portal as a single-window clearance system. This digital platform aims to streamline approvals and reduce bureaucratic delays, significantly improving the ease of doing business for investors and developers. By centralising processes, the government seeks to create a more efficient and transparent environment for industrial projects.

Broader Implications for Rajasthan's Economy

The Rajasthan Industrial Park Promotion Policy, 2026, represents a forward-thinking strategy to boost industrialisation through private sector collaboration and sustainable practices. By offering a range of incentives and simplifying regulatory procedures, the policy is expected to attract substantial investments, create employment opportunities, and enhance the state's overall economic resilience. This initiative marks a significant step towards positioning Rajasthan as a leading destination for industrial development in India.
