Spiritual leader and visionary Sadhguru delivered a powerful message about the evolving role of business in shaping global quality of life during his address at the INSIGHT: The DNA of Success 2025 summit. Speaking at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore on November 27, he emphasized that business conduct has become the primary determinant of human wellbeing in today's world.
The New Business Paradigm
In his opening remarks, Sadhguru outlined a fundamental shift in global priorities. "The world has become business-oriented," he stated, echoing his recent social media post. "The safety and quality of life now depend on how we conduct our businesses." He challenged traditional notions of power, asserting that business influence now surpasses military or political might in determining how well people live.
The spiritual leader urged business leaders to adopt a forward-thinking approach. "A time has come when businesses should belong to the future because they are the leading edge of the world," he told the diverse audience of over 200 participants from more than 20 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, and Singapore.
Artificial Intelligence: Opportunity, Not Threat
Addressing widespread concerns about artificial intelligence, Sadhguru presented a refreshing perspective on technological disruption. He described AI as representing a significant shift in human work patterns rather than a threat to employment.
"The power of 'intellectual coolies' is going to go away very soon and I'm so happy about this," he declared, referring to routine cognitive tasks. He clarified that while data-related jobs might diminish, human intelligence has higher purposes that machines cannot replicate.
Sadhguru identified who would face challenges during this transition: "It is for those people who thought they will do one job interview properly and after that their life is settled." For entrepreneurs, however, he saw unlimited potential. "If you're an entrepreneur, you shouldn't care. It'll open up a million new possibilities that you never thought possible."
The Entrepreneurial Mindset for Modern Business
Focusing on entrepreneurship, Sadhguru emphasized that agility forms the cornerstone of sustainable growth. "The first thing you have to learn is to be agile," he advised. "If you are an entrepreneur, that means you're on your toes all the time."
He distinguished between survival mentality and true entrepreneurial spirit, describing entrepreneurs as adventurers willing to risk everything to create something new. This mindset, according to Sadhguru, becomes crucial in navigating the rapidly changing business landscape shaped by technologies like artificial intelligence.
Concluding his address, he framed the INSIGHT program as an opportunity for personal and professional transformation. "I hope this INSIGHT becomes a way for you to become more agile, more insightful, with more integrity," he shared. Warning against complacency, he added, "Conclusion is death. Questions keep you agile and stepping into something fresh every day."
The event also featured insights from other prominent leaders, including Lord Karan Bilimoria, who highlighted the importance of team loyalty and family support in helping businesses withstand stress. His memorable advice resonated with attendees: "Better to fail doing the right thing than to succeed doing the wrong thing."
The INSIGHT programme continues through November 30 with scheduled speakers including Nitin Paranjpe, Raj Sisodia, Rohit Bansal, Shashank Kumar, and Dr Bala Subramaniam, offering further perspectives on business leadership in the contemporary world.
