In a tragic incident, a 26-year-old employee of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has allegedly died by suicide, reportedly due to a troubled marriage. The deceased, identified as P Bhanu Prakash, served as a junior assistant at TTD's Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati.
Marriage and Family Disputes
According to the Tirupati East police, Bhanu Prakash married P Nagaveni about three years ago. The marriage was opposed by his mother, P Sharada, leading Bhanu to move into his in-laws' home in the Korlagunta area of Tirupati.
Just a fortnight ago, Nagaveni gave birth to a baby boy, and the family celebrated the traditional baby rituals. However, the joy was short-lived as Bhanu was found dead in his bedroom on the night of June 12.
Police Investigation and Allegations
The Tirupati East police arrived at the scene, shifted the body for postmortem, and registered a case of suspicious death based on a complaint from Bhanu's mother, Sharada.
In her complaint, Sharada alleged that Nagaveni became insecure when Bhanu tried to visit her recently. She claimed, "Nagaveni pressured my son to completely cut ties with me, pushing him to the brink of suicide."
The investigation is ongoing as authorities await the postmortem report.
