Skoda Auto India has announced a targeted recall affecting a select number of its premium SUV, the Kodiaq. According to data published on the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) portal, this recall encompasses a total of 221 vehicles. These specific units were produced during the manufacturing window spanning from March 10, 2025, to December 8, 2025.
Root Cause: Front Seat Structure Defect
The recall has been prompted by a critical concern related to the structural integrity of the front seats. The identified issue involves the edge of the inner frame within the front seats. This flaw has the potential to compromise the functionality of the side airbags during deployment.
In the unfortunate event of a collision, this defect could diminish the efficacy of the side airbags, thereby elevating the risk of occupant injury. Skoda emphasizes that this proactive measure is aimed at ensuring maximum safety standards for its customers.

Skoda Auto India is set to reach out directly to the owners of the impacted vehicles in the forthcoming weeks.
