WE Hub Inaugurates First Centre of Excellence in Peddapalli to Empower Women and Youth Entrepreneurs
In a significant move to foster entrepreneurship, WE Hub, the Telangana government's nodal agency dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs, announced the launch of its first Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Peddapalli district on Tuesday. This initiative is designed to strengthen entrepreneurial activities among women and youth, particularly in rural and semi-urban regions.
Collaborative Support and Strategic Goals
The new centre is being implemented with crucial support from HP and the district administration, highlighting a collaborative effort to drive economic growth. It aims to provide comprehensive services including skill development, incubation programs, digital enablement, and enterprise acceleration. The focus is on empowering women and young individuals by offering them the tools and resources needed to succeed in the business world.
Key offerings at the CoE include:
- Entrepreneurship training to build foundational business knowledge
- Digital skilling programs to enhance technological proficiency
- Business mentoring from experienced professionals
- Market linkages to connect entrepreneurs with potential customers and partners

Emphasis on Women-Led Enterprises and Youth Innovation
Special emphasis will be placed on supporting women-led enterprises and youth innovators. The centre will target sectors such as technology-enabled services, manufacturing, creative industries, and sustainable micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This approach aims to create diverse and resilient entrepreneurial ecosystems that contribute to local economic development.
Government and Leadership Perspectives
Inaugurating the centre, IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu emphasized the importance of empowering women entrepreneurs and encouraging youth innovation at the grassroots level. He stated that such initiatives are essential for building an inclusive and self-reliant Telangana. The minister highlighted that the CoE would not only create sustainable livelihood opportunities but also inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs from various districts.
WE Hub CEO Sita Pallacholla described the launch as a key milestone in the agency's plans to extend entrepreneurship support deeper into the districts. She noted that the centre would bring skilling, mentorship, networks, and opportunities closer to communities, making entrepreneurial resources more accessible and effective.
This initiative represents a proactive step by the Telangana government and its partners to address regional disparities and promote economic empowerment through targeted entrepreneurial support.
