Lucknow Development Authority Conducts Transparent Lottery for IT City Residential Plots
The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has successfully conducted a lottery draw to allocate developed residential plots to farmers and landowners who contributed land under the land pooling policy for its ambitious IT City scheme. This significant event marks a crucial step in the development of a major urban project aimed at boosting infrastructure and housing in the region.
Live-Streamed Draw at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan
On Monday, the lottery draw was held at the Mars auditorium of Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, where applicants were personally invited to participate in the transparent allocation process. To ensure openness and accessibility, the entire event was streamed live on YouTube, allowing a wider audience to witness the proceedings in real-time.
LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar provided detailed insights into the scheme, revealing that it is being developed over approximately 3,490 acres along Sultanpur road. Landowners who executed agreements with the LDA by the deadline of January 31 were included in this draw, ensuring a fair and timely process for all eligible participants.
Allocation of Plots Across Six Categories
The lottery resulted in the allotment of residential plots in six distinct categories, catering to various needs and preferences. These included plots measuring 288, 200, 162, 128, 72, and 35 square meters. In total, 549 plots were allocated through this draw, providing substantial housing opportunities for the contributing landowners.
The plots are strategically planned in sectors 15, 16, 17, 18, and 30 of the IT City scheme, which is designed to integrate modern amenities and sustainable development. Around 350 landowners pooled nearly 550 acres of land under the policy, demonstrating strong community participation and support for the project.
Transparent Process and Landowner Feedback
LDA officials emphasized that applicants whose agreements were completed by the deadline were called on stage to draw the slips personally, enhancing the transparency of the process. Several farmers and landowners present at the venue praised the procedure, noting that it was conducted in a clear and fair manner, with no reported discrepancies.
The land for this expansive project includes various villages in Mohanlalganj tehsil, highlighting the rural-urban integration aspect of the IT City scheme. This initiative not only aims to provide residential plots but also to foster economic growth and technological advancement in the area.
