Lucknow Development Authority Initiates Comprehensive Property Verification Drive
The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has launched a significant door-to-door verification campaign targeting all residential and commercial properties allocated under its various schemes. This initiative, which commenced on Wednesday, aims to update official records and strengthen measures against potential fraud.
Private Agency Engaged for Systematic Survey
A specialized private agency has been contracted to conduct this extensive exercise across Lucknow. LDA Vice-chairperson Prathamesh Kumar has publicly appealed to residents for their cooperation, emphasizing that the survey is crucial for digitizing property records. He stated that updated and accurate records will enable the authority to deliver more efficient and improved services to citizens.
Addressing Incomplete and Missing Property Files
Officials have highlighted that numerous property files are either incomplete or entirely unavailable in current records. This deficiency not only obstructs official administrative work but also creates significant difficulties for property allottees. Authorities believe that outdated or missing documentation substantially increases the risk of legal disputes and fraudulent property transactions.
Verification Process and Required Documentation
During the verification process, agency staff will carry official identity cards issued by the LDA, which they will present to residents to establish their credentials. Property owners and occupants will be requested to provide essential details, including:
- Mobile phone numbers
- Ownership documents and title deeds
- Aadhaar cards for identity verification
- Other relevant identity proofs
This thorough verification drive represents a proactive step by the LDA to modernize its property management systems, enhance transparency, and protect citizens from property-related fraud in Lucknow.
