Key amenities will include a green gym equipped with open cross-fit equipment, dedicated yoga spaces for mindfulness practices, and well-maintained jogging and running tracks for fitness enthusiasts. The total area earmarked for development measures approximately 80 metres by 20 metres, while an additional stretch of around 100 metres by 25 metres has been identified for a comprehensive green belt, lawn, and seating area. Officials have clarified that existing vegetation at the site will be preserved and integrated into the overall landscaping plan, demonstrating an environmentally conscious approach to urban development.
Collaborative Development and Maintenance Framework
Interestingly, the project is being developed on land owned by the nagar panchayat. While the PWD will execute all development work, the completed garden will be formally handed over to the nagar panchayat for regular upkeep and long-term maintenance. Nagar panchayat president Kirti Badole participated actively in recent planning meetings where maintenance responsibilities and operational protocols were thoroughly discussed.
Revised Project Scope and Implementation Timeline
Although the project appears as a "sports arena complex" in some official documents, officials confirm the scope has been substantially revised. "We are modifying the earlier tender specifications slightly," explained the official. "The revised plan incorporates more vegetation while reducing certain sports components to better align with community needs."
While a small synthetic badminton court is still under consideration, large-scale sports facilities have been deliberately scaled down. The project carries a completion deadline of 12 months, though officials expressed optimism about finishing major construction works before the monsoon season begins.
