Lucknow Airport Enhances Connectivity with New City Bus Services
In a significant move to boost urban mobility, the Lucknow International Airport Ltd has officially inaugurated new city bus services from Terminal-3 at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport. This initiative is designed to improve public transport connectivity for air passengers and airport personnel, offering a more integrated travel experience.
Collaborative Effort for Better Transport
Launched in partnership with Lucknow City Transport Services Limited, this project introduces two major city bus routes that connect the airport with key locations across the city. The services are aimed at providing safe, affordable, and reliable public transportation options. By encouraging the use of mass transit, the initiative seeks to reduce vehicular congestion in Lucknow, contributing to a more sustainable urban environment.
Official Launch and Key Statements
The services were flagged off by LCTSL managing director Amar Nath Sahai and chief airport officer, CCSIA, Darshan Singh, with senior officials from both organizations in attendance. An airport spokesperson highlighted the joint commitment, stating, "The launch of these city bus services reflects our dedication to enhancing passenger convenience, strengthening urban mobility, and promoting sustainable transportation solutions for Lucknow."
Strategic Route Design for Seamless Connectivity
The new bus services will operate on two strategically designed routes:
- CCSIA–Hazratganj via Charbagh: This route connects the airport to one of Lucknow's major commercial and residential hubs, ensuring easy access for travelers.
- CCSIA–Awadh bus station (Kamta) via Shaheed Path: This link provides connectivity to a key transit point, facilitating smoother last-mile travel for passengers.
These routes are tailored to connect the airport with major commercial, residential, and transit hubs, offering seamless last-mile connectivity and greater ease of travel. This enhancement is expected to benefit both local residents and visitors, making airport commutes more efficient and environmentally friendly.
