UPSIDA-JNPA MoU to Make Lalitpur Pharma Park Global Export Hub

UPSIDA and JNPA Forge Strategic Partnership to Elevate Lalitpur Pharma Park as Global Export Center

In a significant move to bolster Uttar Pradesh's status as a premier pharmaceutical manufacturing destination, the UP State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA). This landmark agreement is designed to transform the upcoming Lalitpur Pharma Park into a globally connected export hub by leveraging advanced multimodal logistics networks.

Key Objectives and Signatories of the MoU

The MoU was formally signed by UPSIDA CEO Vijay Kiran Anand and JNPA chairman Gaurav Dayal, marking a collaborative effort to enhance connectivity between industrial regions in North India and international markets. Officials emphasized that this partnership will facilitate the faster, safer, and more cost-effective movement of pharmaceutical goods, thereby significantly boosting Uttar Pradesh's export capabilities.

Infrastructure Integration and Connectivity Enhancements

A pivotal aspect of this initiative involves linking the Lalitpur Pharma Park to both the Western and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridors via the Dadri–Khurja rail link. This strategic connectivity is projected to drastically reduce transit times and logistics costs, making the park an increasingly attractive proposition for investors and exporters alike.

This expansion is expected to streamline export processes and enhance the state's competitiveness on the world stage.

Leadership Vision and Future Implications

In a statement, Vijay Kiran Anand highlighted that this project aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision of establishing Uttar Pradesh as a leader in pharmaceutical manufacturing and healthcare services. The MoU underscores the state's commitment to fostering industrial growth and economic development through strategic partnerships and infrastructure advancements.
