The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 12 examination results for the academic year 2025-2026. Students who appeared for the exams can now check their scores on the official website cbse.nic.in. The results have been announced earlier than expected, bringing relief to thousands of students across the country.
How to Check CBSE 12th Result 2026
To view your result, follow these simple steps:
- Visit the official CBSE results portal at results.cbse.nic.in or cbse.nic.in.
- Click on the link for 'CBSE Class 12 Result 2026'.
- Enter your roll number, school number, and admit card ID as mentioned on your admit card.
- Click on 'Submit' and your result will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and take a printout of the result for future reference.
Pass Percentage and Statistics
This year, the overall pass percentage for CBSE Class 12 has shown a slight improvement compared to the previous year. The board has recorded an overall pass percentage of 92.71%, which is a marginal increase from last year's 91.62%. Girls have outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 94.12% against 91.43% for boys. The Trivandrum region has once again topped the list with the highest pass percentage of 99.98%, followed by Chennai and Bengaluru regions.
Subject-wise Performance
In terms of subject-wise performance, the highest pass percentage was recorded in English Core at 98.5%, followed by Physics at 96.2% and Chemistry at 95.8%. Mathematics saw a pass percentage of 93.1%, while Biology recorded 94.5%. The board has also introduced a new grading system for certain subjects to reduce stress among students.
Supplementary Exams and Re-evaluation
Students who are not satisfied with their scores can apply for re-evaluation or re-checking of answer sheets. The application process for re-evaluation will commence from May 20, 2026. Additionally, CBSE will conduct supplementary exams for students who have failed in one or more subjects. The dates for the supplementary exams will be announced soon on the official website.

- The results are available online only; no physical mark sheets will be sent to schools initially.
- Students must verify their personal details on the result and report any discrepancies to the board immediately.
