The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the portal for verification and re-evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets will be operational shortly after a technical glitch delayed its launch. The board assured students that the issue has been resolved and the portal will go live soon.
Technical Glitch Delays Portal Launch
According to an official statement from CBSE, the portal for applying for verification of marks and re-evaluation of answer sheets experienced a technical glitch, causing a delay in its scheduled launch. The board has been working to rectify the issue and expects the portal to be available for students in the coming days. Students had been eagerly awaiting the portal's launch to apply for re-evaluation of their answer sheets.
How to Apply for Re-evaluation
Once the portal goes live, students can apply for verification of marks and re-evaluation of specific questions or the entire answer sheet. The process involves filling out an online application form and paying a prescribed fee. Students are advised to keep their roll numbers and other details ready for a smooth application process.
The CBSE Class 12 results were declared earlier this year, and students who are not satisfied with their marks can opt for re-evaluation. The board has set a deadline for submitting applications, and students are urged to apply within the stipulated time frame.
Important Dates and Fees
The CBSE will announce the exact date for the portal launch and the deadline for applications. The fee for verification of marks is Rs. 500 per subject, while re-evaluation of answer sheets costs Rs. 100 per question. Students can apply for re-evaluation of up to 10 questions per subject.
CBSE has also clarified that the re-evaluation process will be conducted by experienced evaluators, and the revised marks will be final. Students who have applied for re-evaluation will be notified of the outcome via SMS and email.
