The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the portal for verification and re-evaluation of Class 10 and 12 answer sheets will open from June 1. Students who are not satisfied with their results can apply for verification and re-evaluation through the official CBSE website.
How to Apply for Verification and Re-evaluation
Students can access the portal at cbse.gov.in. The process involves filling out an online application form and paying the prescribed fee. For verification, students can request a re-check of their answer sheets. If they still have concerns, they can opt for re-evaluation, where the answer sheets are evaluated again by a different examiner.
Important Dates and Fees
The portal will remain open for a limited period. The exact dates and fee structure will be announced on the CBSE website. Students are advised to keep checking the official site for updates. The verification fee is typically nominal, while re-evaluation charges are higher. Payments can be made online through debit/credit cards or net banking.
Steps to Apply
- Visit the official CBSE website.
- Click on the verification/re-evaluation link.
- Enter your roll number and other required details.
- Select the subjects for verification or re-evaluation.
- Pay the fee and submit the application.
After submission, students will receive a confirmation receipt. The results of verification and re-evaluation will be declared within a few weeks. In case of any discrepancy, the board will issue a revised marksheet.
Additional Information
CBSE has also clarified that only those students who have appeared for the board exams can apply. The re-evaluation process is thorough and aims to ensure fairness. Students are encouraged to use this opportunity if they believe there has been an error in evaluation.
