Sharad Chandra Dhanbad: On Friday, the Jharkhand Education Project, Dhanbad, organised the district-level Medha Samman ceremony at Dhanbad Club to felicitate meritorious students of the district. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Deputy Commissioner Aditya Ranjan, Senior Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar, District Education Officer Abhishek Jha, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Lokesh Barangi, and other officials.
Honouring Academic Excellence
During the ceremony, students who performed exceptionally well in the Class 10 board examinations, along with their parents, were honoured for their remarkable achievements. Addressing the gathering, DC Aditya Ranjan emphasised that the initiative aims to encourage talented students and inspire others to strive for academic excellence. He stated that such programmes are being organised across the state to motivate children to progress in the field of education and bring laurels to both Jharkhand and the nation.
Special Recognition for Varsha Kumari
A major highlight of the event was the felicitation of Varsha Kumari, a student of DAV Public School, Koyla Nagar, who secured the second position at the state level in the matriculation examination. Her achievement was celebrated as an inspiration for other students in the district.
The ceremony also included cultural performances and motivational speeches aimed at encouraging students to pursue higher education and contribute to society. Officials reiterated the government's commitment to promoting education and providing opportunities for talented students to shine.
