Gujarat Schools Gear Up for Pre-Board Exams Ahead of Class 10, 12 Board Tests
Gujarat Pre-Board Exams for Class 10, 12 Start Jan 30

In preparation for the upcoming Class 10 and 12 Board examinations scheduled to commence on February 26, educational institutions across Gujarat are set to administer pre-board exams for specific subjects starting this Friday. According to the official academic calendar released by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB), these crucial theoretical and practical assessments will be conducted over a five-day period from January 30 to February 3.

Submission Deadline and Integration into Final Results

Schools have been directed to submit the marks obtained by students in these pre-board exams to the Board by February 20. Importantly, these scores will be treated as valid and integral components of the final board examination results, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation process.

Subjects Assessed at School Level

While the Board organizes centralized examinations for major subjects annually, covering both theory and practical papers, certain subjects are traditionally evaluated at the school level prior to the main board exams. At the secondary level, this includes subjects such as computer studies, physical education, and drawing, along with music practicals in the general stream.

Vocational and Higher Secondary Streams

In the vocational stream, practical examinations for a range of subjects including agriculture, commerce, home science, and technical groups are also conducted internally by schools. Similarly, for higher secondary streams, practical exams and the advanced computer subject across all streams are held at the school level, providing a tailored assessment approach.

All pre-board examinations are slated to conclude by February 3, well in advance of the commencement of the board exams, allowing students ample time for final revisions and preparation.
