Bengaluru: The Karnataka II Pre-University (PU) students achieved a pass percentage of 46% in the second-year PU exam, the results of which were announced on Thursday. This year, the consolidated pass percentage reached 92.25%, marking a significant improvement of 7 percentage points compared to the previous year's consolidated results.
Exam Statistics
Around 80,535 students appeared for the second exam, out of which 36,764 passed. The pass percentage varied across streams, with Science recording 51%, Commerce 43%, and Arts 44%. The consolidated results for 2026 show that 96% of Science students passed, followed by 93% in Commerce and 83% in Arts.
Exam Schedule and Centres
The examination was conducted from April 30 to May 13 at 253 exam centres across the state. Notably, there was no third exam this year.
Gender Performance
Girls outperformed boys, registering a pass percentage of 47% compared to 45% for boys. In terms of achievements, 62 students secured distinction, 8,086 students obtained first class, and 16,940 students earned second class.
