The decision was taken to avoid a scheduling conflict with the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) preliminary examinations, which are also scheduled for May 24.
Reason for Rescheduling
The clash between the two important examinations prompted KEA to revise the date. The UPSC prelims are a crucial gateway for candidates aspiring to join the civil services, and many students appearing for PGCET also apply for UPSC. To ensure that candidates do not have to choose between the two exams, KEA decided to move PGCET to June 14.
Other Exams Unaffected
KEA has clarified that the other entrance examinations scheduled under the PGCET and diploma admission process will continue as per the original timetable. Candidates are advised to check the official KEA website for any further updates or changes.
