A total of 4,17,497 students appeared for the SSLC examinations conducted from March 5 to March 30, 2026. Among them, more than 4.14 lakh students successfully cleared the examination, making them eligible for higher education. Girls Outperform Boys Yet Again
Consistent with previous years, female students have outperformed their male counterparts. The pass percentage for girls stood at 99.22%, while boys achieved 98.93%. This gap is also evident among top scorers. A total of 30,514 students secured A+ grades in all subjects, with 20,771 being girls and 9,743 boys. These figures underscore the strong academic performance of female students in the state.
District-Wise Performance
Pathanamthitta emerged as the top-performing revenue district with a pass percentage of 99.72%. Kuttanad was declared the best education district after achieving 100% eligibility for higher education. Kollam district also stood out, with 11.6% of its students securing A+ in all subjects, the highest share in the state. Additionally, students from Gulf-region schools recorded a perfect 100% result, while Lakshadweep reported a pass percentage of 97.67%.
