The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has officially announced the date and time for the declaration of the HSC (Class 12) Result 2026. According to the notification released by the board, the results will be published online on May 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM across multiple official platforms.
Examination and Result Timeline
The announcement follows the successful completion of the HSC examinations, which were conducted between February and March 2026. The board confirmed that the results will be released simultaneously through various official websites to ensure easy access for students across the state. This synchronized release aims to prevent server overload and provide a seamless experience for all candidates.
Official Websites and Access Methods
Students can check their results on the following official portals: results.digilocker.gov.in, mahahsscboard.in, and hscresult.mkcl.org. The board has stated that all candidates who appeared for the examination can view and download their provisional marksheets from these websites. In addition, digital result documents will be available through the DigiLocker application, enabling students to securely store and access their marksheets anytime. Junior colleges will also be able to access consolidated results of their students via the official login provided on the board's website.
Press Conference and Declaration Process
The board will hold a press conference at 11:00 AM on May 2, 2026, at its Pune office prior to the result release. During this briefing, key details related to the examination and overall performance are expected to be shared. The result link will be activated at 1:00 PM following the press conference. The HSC examination was conducted through nine divisional boards, including Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan.
Post-Result Processes and Re-evaluation
After the declaration of results, students will have the option to apply online for verification of marks and obtain photocopies of answer sheets for specific subjects. Applications for these services can be submitted from May 3 to May 17, 2026, through the official website with payment of the prescribed fee. For re-evaluation, students must first obtain a photocopy of the answer sheet and then apply within five working days from the date of receipt. The board has advised candidates to contact their respective divisional offices for further procedures related to re-evaluation.
Improvement Scheme and Supplementary Exams
Candidates who pass the HSC examination will be eligible to appear for the Class Improvement Scheme. This scheme allows students to improve their scores by reappearing in up to three consecutive sessions, including June–July 2026, February–March 2027, and June–July 2027. The board has stated that a separate notification will be issued regarding supplementary examinations, category corrections, and applications for private candidates.
