The cancellation of NEET-UG 2026 over an alleged paper leak has ignited a major political confrontation in Rajasthan. Education Minister Madan Dilawar described the cancellation as 'not a big issue' if irregularities were indeed found, downplaying the controversy. However, Congress leaders including Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot have launched sharp attacks on the BJP government, accusing it of ignoring prior warnings and concealing facts. Gehlot claimed that the National Testing Agency (NTA) had alerted the police before the examination, while Pilot alleged the existence of a 'well-organised mafia' responsible for repeated leaks. This has escalated the political tension in the state, with both parties trading barbs over the handling of the situation.
