NEET-UG 2026 Leak Probe: Entire Biwal Family Under Scanner as Multiple Members Got Medical Seats
NEET-UG 2026 Leak Probe: Biwal Family Under Scanner

The NEET-UG 2026 paper leak investigation has expanded its focus to encompass an entire family after authorities discovered that several members of the Biwal family, all connected to the three individuals arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), gained admission to medical colleges and are currently pursuing MBBS courses in Rajasthan and other parts of India.

Arrests and Family Links

The CBI arrested Dinesh Biwal, his brother Mangilal Biwal, and Mangilal's son Vikas Biwal on Wednesday in connection with the paper leak case. Police sources revealed that investigators became suspicious from the very beginning after finding that four members of the same family had cracked the NEET exam and entered medical colleges.

Family Members' Medical College Admissions

Preliminary findings indicate that Vikas Biwal is a first-year student at Sawai Madhopur Medical College, while his sister is enrolled at Dausa Medical College. Another relative, the daughter of Mangilal's deceased brother Ghanshyam, is studying at SMS Medical College in Jaipur, and Ghanshyam's other daughter is pursuing her MBBS at a medical college in Mumbai. Sources mentioned there could be another family member studying at a medical college, but the CBI took over the case before state agencies could verify this information.

Social Media Posts and Coaching Institute Links

The development has intensified scrutiny around the family after some individuals reportedly unearthed old social media posts by Dinesh Biwal, in which he claimed that five children from his family had secured admission to medical colleges. Agencies stated they are still verifying this claim. Investigators found that all the family members attended the same coaching institute in Sikar, though sources later claimed they were only enrolled for mock test series. Officials confirmed that all three arrested individuals appeared in the 2025 NEET-UG examination.

Lack of Direct Evidence but Growing Suspicion

“There is no direct evidence yet that they cleared the examination using leaked papers, but the fact that five members of one family secured MBBS admissions in the same period naturally raises questions, especially when the family itself is now linked to an alleged paper leak syndicate,” a senior official stated on condition of anonymity. Sources said investigators suspect Dinesh paid money to procure the leaked NEET-UG 2026 question paper from another accused, Gurgaon-based Yash Yadav, to benefit his son. Another family member, whose identity has not been disclosed, was also preparing for NEET, sources added.

CBI Investigation and Family Denials

The CBI has taken Dinesh, Mangilal, and Vikas to New Delhi for further interrogation. A CBI team also visited the family's residence in Jamwa-Ramgarh near Jaipur as part of the investigation. As television crews and reporters gathered outside the home after the arrests on Thursday, family members strongly denied the allegations. Speaking to local media, the wives of Dinesh and Mangilal insisted that their children earned their seats through hard work and claimed the accusations were baseless.
