The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially revised the schedule for the SSC GD Constable examination 2026. The examination, originally set for May 28, has been advanced to May 27. This change follows a modification in the government holiday calendar for Id-u-Zuha (Bakrid).
Official Notification Details
According to an official notification issued on Friday, the revised schedule applies to the Constable (GD) examination for recruitment to the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and Rifleman (GD) posts in Assam Rifles. The adjustment was prompted by an Office Memorandum from the Department of Personnel and Training, which revised the holiday date for Bakrid.
Revised Admit Cards to Be Released Soon
The SSC has announced that admit cards for the examination now scheduled on May 27, 2026, will be made available 2 to 3 days in advance on the official website of the Commission through the candidates' module. Candidates are advised to regularly monitor the official SSC portal for fresh admit cards, examination city details, reporting time, and shift-related instructions. The SSC GD examination cycle commenced on April 27 and is scheduled to conclude on May 30.
SSC Warns Against Unofficial Updates
The Commission has also cautioned candidates against relying on unverified social media posts, forwarded messages, or third-party websites for examination-related information. Officials emphasized that all authentic updates regarding the SSC GD Constable examination will only be published through the official SSC website. Aspirants have been urged to carefully verify examination dates and centre details before travelling to their allotted venues.
