Chennai: Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University on Wednesday released the cut-off marks for five-year integrated law courses. At the School of Excellence in Law, BCom LLB course has the highest cut-off for open competition with 98.25 marks while BA LLB and BBA LLB had 97.75. BCA LLB has the lowest cut-off of 96 marks. The cut-off marks are calculated based on the scores in four subjects in Class XII, except languages. The university said it would issue the allotment order on June 22 and candidates have to join from June 23 to June 25. For BC and general category students the cut-off varied from 96.25 to 78.25 marks.
The university also released cut-off marks for government law colleges and the open competition category cut-off was 93.75. For BC category students, it was 88.25, 89.75 for MBC and 88.375 for MBC/DNC. For SC category students, it was 88.25, 87.75 for SC(A) and 84.75 for ST. The university would issue allotment orders to these students on June 22 and they have to join in person from June 23 to June 25.
There are 600 seats in the School of Excellence in Law and the university received 6,700 applications this year. For 2,503 seats in government law colleges and 897 government quota seats in private law colleges the university received 16,000 applications.
