The admission committee in Ahmedabad has officially announced the merit list for students seeking direct entry into diploma engineering after completing ITI or other technical certificate courses following Class 10. This lateral entry process allows students to join the second year of diploma engineering programs.

Based on the registrations received, the merit list includes a total of 2,518 students. The top-ranked student in the merit list has secured 300 marks, setting a high benchmark for this year's admissions.
Registration and Eligibility
Students who have completed ITI or technical certificate courses after Class 10 are eligible for lateral entry into the second year of diploma engineering. The registration process was conducted from April 17 to April 30. This year, admissions are being carried out for a total of 40,187 seats across various institutions.
- Government Colleges: 7,146 seats in 31 colleges
- Grant-in-Aid Colleges: 319 seats in 5 colleges
- Self-Financed and PPP Mode Institutions: 32,722 seats in 145 institutions
Registration Statistics
A total of 2,646 students had registered for admission. However, only 2,518 students have been included in the merit list. Some applicants were excluded due to incomplete documentation. Such students have been instructed to upload the required documents by May 19 to be considered for admission.
