New Delhi: Candidates appearing for the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination on June 21 will be allowed to travel free on all Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Friday.
The facility will be available upon production of a valid admit card for the re-test, Gupta said in a post on X. “To support candidates appearing for NEET (UG) 2026 on June 21, the Delhi government will provide free travel in all DTC buses upon presentation of a valid admit card,” she stated.
Gupta emphasized that no student should face inconvenience on such an important day for their future. She extended her best wishes to all NEET aspirants, adding, “May their hard work and determination lead them to success.”
Background of the Re-Examination
The National Testing Agency (NTA) had cancelled the original NEET (UG) exam held on May 3 for medical admissions following allegations of a paper leak. The re-examination has now been scheduled for June 21. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently investigating the paper leak allegations.
Support for Students
This initiative by the Delhi government aims to ease the travel burden on students, ensuring they can reach their exam centers without any hassle. The free travel facility is expected to benefit thousands of candidates appearing for the crucial medical entrance test.
