The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the admit cards for the upcoming UGC NET December 2025 examination. This crucial document is now available for download on the agency's official portal. Candidates who have registered for the national-level test must obtain their hall tickets to gain entry to the examination centres.

Exam Schedule and Key Details

The UGC NET December 2025 examination will be conducted from 31 December 2025 to 7 January 2026. According to a notice issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) on 27 December, the test will be held on specific dates: 31 December 2025, and 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7 January 2026. The exam will cover a total of 85 subjects.

For a specific set of subjects including Law, Social Work, Telugu, Tourism Administration and Management, Spanish, Prakrit, Kashmiri, and Konkani, the test is scheduled for Wednesday, 31 December 2025. The examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across various centres in India.

How to Download Your UGC NET Admit Card

Accessing the hall ticket is a straightforward online process. Candidates must keep their login credentials ready. The essential details required are the Application Number and Date of Birth.

Follow these steps to download your UGC NET December 2025 admit card:

  1. Visit the official UGC NET website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
  2. Look for and click on the link labelled 'UGC NET Dec 2025 Admit Card Download'.
  3. On the login page, enter your Application Number, Date of Birth, and the security pin displayed on the screen.
  4. Your admit card will appear on the screen. Carefully verify all details like your name, photograph, exam date, centre, and subject.
  5. Download the admit card and take a printout. Multiple copies are recommended for safekeeping.

Important Instructions and Contact Information

Carrying a physical printout of the admit card to the exam centre is mandatory. Candidates will not be allowed entry into the examination hall without this document. It must be produced for verification upon demand by the invigilation staff.

The NTA had earlier released the advance examination city intimation slip on 20 December, giving candidates prior information about their assigned city.
