Ahmedabad Chapter of ICMAI Reports Notable Gains in CMA Exam Performance

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) has officially announced the results for the CMA intermediate and final examinations conducted in December 2025. The Ahmedabad chapter demonstrated a marked improvement in performance, with pass percentages showing significant increases compared to the previous session.

Pass Percentages Show Substantial Growth

For the intermediate exam, the pass percentage stood at 37%, while the final exam recorded a pass rate of 37.07%. These figures represent an increase of approximately 10% for the intermediate level and 14% for the final level when compared to the June 2025 exams. This upward trend highlights the enhanced academic efforts and preparation strategies adopted by candidates in the region.

Detailed Candidate Statistics

In the intermediate category, a total of 692 candidates from the Ahmedabad chapter appeared for the examination, out of which 256 successfully cleared it. Notably, four candidates from Ahmedabad secured positions in the all-India Top 50 rankings for this level, showcasing competitive excellence.

For the final examination, 205 students from Ahmedabad participated, with 76 passing, resulting in the 37.07% pass rate. However, no candidate from Ahmedabad featured in the national Top 50 for this category. The all-India pass percentage for the final exam was reported at 30.32%, indicating that the Ahmedabad chapter performed above the national average.

Top Performers from Ahmedabad

Among the standout achievers from the Ahmedabad chapter, Vishal Rawal led with an impressive score of 495 marks. Other top scorers included Shivangi Makwana with 435 marks, Chirag Jesadiya with 433 marks, Dhrumil Soni with 430 marks, and Priyanshukumar with 421 marks. These results reflect the dedication and hard work of the candidates in mastering the cost accounting curriculum.

The improved performance in the December 2025 exams underscores the effectiveness of training and support systems within the Ahmedabad chapter, contributing to the overall growth of cost accounting professionals in India.
