Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU), Hisar, has finalised all arrangements for its entrance examination scheduled for Sunday, July 12, 2026. The exam will determine admissions into various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the university.
8,762 Candidates Apply for Multiple Programmes
Vice-Chancellor Prof BR Kamboj announced on Friday that a total of 8,762 candidates have applied for admission. The programmes include the four-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Agri-Business Management, and various courses under the College of Basic Sciences and Humanities—such as Biochemistry, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Food Science and Technology, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Plant Physiology, Sociology, Statistics, and Zoology. Additionally, programmes offered by the College of Biotechnology—including Agricultural Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Bio-nanotechnology, and Industrial Biotechnology—are also part of this entrance test.
17 Examination Centres Established
To ensure smooth conduct, 17 examination centres have been set up across the HAU campus and Hisar town. The Vice-Chancellor confirmed that necessary infrastructure, including seating arrangements and deployment of officials and staff, has been completed at all centres.
Strict Measures Against Malpractice
Registrar Dr Pawan Kumar stated that special inspection teams have been formed to prevent impersonation and the use of unfair means during the examination. A university spokesperson emphasised that candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying mobile phones, calculators, electronic diaries, or any other electronic devices into the examination hall. Violators will face disciplinary action.
Preparations for a Smooth Examination
HAU Hisar has a history of conducting large-scale entrance exams efficiently. The university administration has coordinated with local authorities to ensure security and logistical support. Candidates have been advised to report to their assigned centres well before the reporting time and to carry their admit cards and valid photo identification.
