Prayagraj: Prof Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University is carrying forward the ideals of renowned educationist, scientist and nation-builder Prof Rajendra Singh Rajju Bhaiya by promoting academic excellence, patriotism and social commitment among students, Union minister of state for jal shakti, Raj Bhushan Choudhary, said on Wednesday.
Addressing a function organised to mark the completion of 10 years of the PRSU's establishment, the chief guest said the institution's work culture reflects the values and vision of Rajju Bhaiya.
"The university has adopted knowledge, character- and nation-building as the cornerstones of its academic philosophy and is playing an important role in shaping a capable and value-driven generation," he said.
Vice-chancellor Prof Akhilesh Kumar Singh described the university's decade-long journey as a success story of social transformation through education and a testament to its commitment to nation-building.
"Despite beginning with limited resources, the university established benchmarks in quality education, innovation and academic excellence," he said.
Prof Singh thanked teachers, employees, students, researchers, alumni, affiliated colleges and other stakeholders for their contribution to the institution's growth.
Established in 2016, Prof Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University has completed 10 years of academic journey and has emerged as a significant centre of higher education in Uttar Pradesh. The institution has earned recognition at the state and national levels for its academic initiatives and expansion.
Guest of honour, Prof Bihari Lal Sharma, vice-chancellor of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi, highlighted the university's achievements in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, promoting multidisciplinary education, strengthening research culture and introducing employment-oriented programmes.
He said the NAAC A Grade accreditation received by the university reflects its commitment to quality and transparency.
Another guest of honour, Prof Satyakam, vice-chancellor of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University, said the university has steadily expanded its undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes while encouraging sports, cultural activities, innovation and entrepreneurship.
